Director, Pollock Theater
1102 Pollok Theater
Matt’s passion lies in all aspects of moviemaking: film watching, film exhibition, production, teaching and screenwriting. Matt started his career in the basement of The Lifetime Television tape library. But after cataloguing the Tori Spelling movie Mother, May I Sleep with Danger, he decided to move on to NYU to run the Cantor Film Center. After 9 years of doing events with people like Martin Scorsese and President Clinton, Matt pursued his life-long dream of getting a MFA in screenwriting at Loyola Marymount University. Now by day, he runs this very special theater, and, by night, writes comedy and fantasy screenplays. Perhaps one day Matt will be able to say “Enjoy my movie” at The Pollock Theater.
