Description
A deep dive into working collaboratively, this class takes students through the process of creating a short film (or animation) as a crew over two consecutive quarters. Projects can be narrative, documentary, experimental or animated. 4 scripts (or treatments) are selected by a tribunal of industry professionals and producers from each of the 4 green-lit projects “hire” other UCSB students to fill core crew positions. Crews work through pre-production, production, post-production and exhibition, culminating with a public premiere of their productions at the end of the winter quarter.
