Description
This graduate-level course provides an in-depth exploration of advanced critical analysis methods in Film and Media Studies. Students will be asked to think carefully about what the theory can illuminate in the object/artifact/phenomenon and what the object/artifact/phenomenon can illuminate in the theory. Through theoretical readings, case studies, and practical assignments, students will develop critical thinking skills and analytical frameworks to engage with diverse forms of film and media. The course focuses on cutting-edge approaches to critical analysis, incorporating interdisciplinary perspectives and exploring the intersection of theory and practice.
