Biography
Steven Malcic is a PhD Candidate in the Film & Media Studies Department at UCSB. He is interested in media historiography, infrastructure, and digital culture. His dissertation project is about the history of digital identity from ARPANET to Anonymous. Steven has presented research at the University of Chicago, MIT, NYU, Northwestern, UCLA, UC-Irvine, UCSB, and the Pop Culture Association national conference. He holds an M.A. in Film & Media Studies from UCSB and B.A.s in Latin and Linguistics from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
